Inclusion

I, Sarita Louise Rhodes, do hereby declare that my classrooms and artistic presentations will duly consider various abilities and points of view.  I value difference and will seek to create a space of inclusion that both challenges and inspires.  I am open to dialogue and committed to continually learning from my fellow teachers, students and audiences. 

I take the role of teacher on with the awareness of the responsibilities being a teacher brings.  As a teacher I will push my students to find and expand their comfort zones in their movement and their thought.  I will honor peoples boundaries while offering new ways of moving and seeing the world. 

At this critical moment in history all voices matter.  The voice of the student and the voice of the teacher.  The voice of the humans and the voice of the animals.  The voice of history and the voice of our future.

 All are welcome in my presence.  This I declare and standby.  When I make a mistake, or am forgetful, please educate and remind me.
